Denton Postmaster's Old House Estate Sale Aug. 21-23

Estate of Wayne “Dutch” Lawrence, Denton Postmaster appointed by Eisenhower, retired in ’69.  lived in  this 1895 house from 1932 till his passing 25 years ago.  Family has kept home maintained but unoccupied till now. Contents are
from  multiple late family members—His brother’ WWII
officers uniforms (5 Eisenhower jackets, 1 leather flight 
jacket, multiple other military garments), about 12 pr
of cowboy boots, Denton Sheriff’s Posse regalia, fancy
square dance dresses, and high school prom gowns, 
enough kitchen things for 3 or 4 families, 2 large sets of
china, 6 quilts and 11 quilt tops, and tubs of fancy linens.
26 pieces of American Fostoria,  5 pieces of Roseville, 
Bauer Pottery, and Homer Laughlin 50’s dishes,
All manner of Canton type items in back yard—old house
hardware, Maytag gas engine, USP change drawers &
cabinets, Three  6’long slate counters, and all kinds of vintage automotive, and some old Denton advertising.
Fishing- 6 minnow buckets,  primitive vintage fishing 
 traps, and a few good reels and lures.  
Daughter’s room has a Mid Century abstract textile
done at TWU, a great looking retro bedroom suite, 
and a collection of 50’s dolls, and vintage Xmas, 2 aluminum trees and wheels in mint condition, plus old phones and typewriters.
